adam kidd

born:

1/10/81 Hull

eats:

food... vegetarian, I like to cook to, used to work as a chef, mostly make-it-up-as-I-go-along stir-fry, but I do a phat breakfast.

drinks:

Kronenbourg, Stella, Guiness, red wine has over white, Double Whiskey before I have to sing, Tequila... too much?!?... Nah.

hears:

In no particular order, stuff I'm listening to lots at the moment: Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Tomahawk, The Clash (RIP Joe Strummer), Come-Down, The Manics (rockin greatest hits tour, but I fear I'll be forever delayed in buying the album.), Sigur Ros, The Music, Jeff Buckely, Muse, Agabadigaba Igabedigaba ShyFX y'all, Rage Against The Machine, Led Zeppelin, Primal Scream, Jimi, The Pimps and Dealers, Pavement, The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, Red Animal War, Red Guitars and on and on and on... (with a cursory nod to all the Electroclash in the world being forced down my throat.)

reads:

At the moment Andy is making me read Andy McNab, but I've just gone through a good patch of 'high' literature, so I'm grinning and bearing the first man in fiction I've had a feeling I wouldn't like if I met. I just went through the whole Bell Jar, Catcher in the Rye, Something Happened, Brighton Rock thing. Reading and re-reading books whose titles loomed high in the imagination, a lot of them seemed to be set in New York actually, which was odd. As for comic books, Johen de Vasquez's Johnny The Homicidal Maniac is awesome and Spider Man still holds a place ihn my heart, I'm reading a series called Ultimate Spider Man, which is telling htee story from the beginning, a new interpretation.

drives:

No. I was born to be driven. (Unless you count my bike, but some fucker's stoilen my front wheel!)

loves:

Eek...

thinks:

Too much, leading to self doubt and anxiety. The one thing I think about most is thinking about thinking too much.

smells:

Pretty bad. I sweat rather a lot on stage as some may have noticed, and despite the attempts of someone lovely(who shall remain nameless)'s attempts to wash my feet on New Years Day they remain one of the most inhospitable regions of the planet!

plays:

Loads, whenever I can. I love my guitar and my bass- I now have my dream guitar too- dodgem car-style Glittery Blue Fender Telecaster: lovely, he's called Ruben. I just bought a Fender P-Bass to play with too. I play a little piano and a little violin and I sing, in fact I'm one of those irritating people who can't help but sing along. My other guitars include a thinline telecaster, cherry with gold hardware and a pearl fret board(Nomis) and a black SG(Genevieve). I bought a new Laney amp recently... I now have entered valve territory with a VC50, lurvely!

says:

The eternal conundrum.
